Hello grade 12’s…thinking of going to UVIC or Camosun? Be sure to join Mrs. Teneycke for the day to go tour UVIC and both Camosun campuses October 29^th, 2024.

Permission slips are available in Room 504… first 50 slips back get a seat on the bus to go…space is limited, so hurry in to claim your spot!

LSS are you interested in wrestling? Want to learn and wrestle with peers your age and compete? Nanaimo Wrestling is inviting any interested students to come join them in the Harewood Gym in Nanaimo on October 15^th from 5:45-7:15. Practices will be on Tuesday and Thursday’s after that. Look for the posters in the Foyer for more information

Yearbook

Yearbook cover design contest.  Use your artistic skills to design this year’s yearbook.  Submissions can be traditional or digital art.  Due to Mr. Bennett room 217 by November 30^th

Grade 8 Girls Volleyball

Grade 8 Girls Volleyball players listen up!  there will be a meeting in room 603, the woodshop, to organize teams for the NDSS tournament this Friday and Saturday.  Let’s get our game on!

Gym Closed

The gym will be closed at lunch today.  basketball will be on the outside courts

Chem Club

Calling all previous members of Chem Club, we are officially starting our meetings today, Wednesday, October 9^th.  Chem Club meetings will be held in Mrs. Powell’s room 115 every Wednesday for the rest of the year.  We do fun experiments and labs about all types of chemistry.  We are looking for any and all grades, but we are in dire need of junior grades, so don’t be scared to come in and see for yourself if Chem Club is right for you

Jr. Boys Volleyball

LSS Sports:  last night our Jr. Boys Volleyball team played their league opener and LSS and defeated both Dover Bay and Wellington Secondary – 2 games straight in both matches- well done boys!!  The junior boys have a tournament at LSS this Friday/Saturday.. so come on out and cheer them on!!

Believe it or not but the lost and found is getting quite full already.  Please take a moment to see if you have any items that are in the lost and found box outside of the office.

Bus Passes

If you have registered for bus passes, they are available in the office for pick up during break times.  If you have not registered and require a bus pass, please go to the School District 68 website and register.  You will need bus passes as on Monday to ride the bus.

Sr. Boys Basketball
