Learning Commons
The winter colouring contest is on until today in the learning commons. Make sure to drop off your completed colouring sheets by today for your chance to win prizes. The first draw will be on Monday, December 13th
Music Teacher Retiring
Amazing music teacher Mrs. Saunders is retiring next week. The community would love to create a video filled with personal messages from her community throughout the years. We hope that students at LSS who remember her fondly will want to participate. Check in the office to get more information
Peer Tutors
Attention all peer tutors – if you have NOT already picked up your term 2 assignments from Ms. Lechthaler, please do so ASAP…that’s all peer tutors that have NOT already picked up their term 2 assignments please see Ms. Lechthaler ASAP
Student Council
Hey LSS! Holiday Spirit week starts next week! Monday is PJ day with hot chocolate being serve in the foyer in the morning and a photo booth at lunch. Tuesday is tacky sweater day, and you can come on down to the foyer to decorate some treats. Wednesday is holiday hat day, and LSS is expecting a special visit from Santa. So come down to the foyer at lunch on Wednesday for Santa photos. Thursday is Reindeer vs. Elves day and there will be a dodgeball game in the gym at lunch with a reindeer team and an elf team. And lastly, Friday is read and green day and there will be a candy guessing game in the foyer at lunch. All the spirit days and activities will be on the student council Instagram (@lsscouncil)
Student Council
Candy grams are being sold this week in the foyer at lunch. Candy canes are $0.50 and candy bags are $1.00. all proceeds go to the Ladysmith Food Bank!
Pizza Sales
The cafeteria is closed today, but pizza and pop are on sale in the MPR room. Two slices for $5 and pop is $1 and Gatorade is $2
And now for today’s Dad joke
Instead of “the john”, I call my toilet “the jim”. That way it sounds better when I say I go to the jim first thing in the morning.
