Cowichan Independent Living is looking for experienced sailors to help make a difference with them this summer.  Please see poster posted beside announcements for contact number

Parallel Youth

Parallel Youth is hosting the first annual 3×3 basketball tournament for the Youth of Ladysmith, on June 24^th & 25^th.  Teams of 3 will compete for the gold!  Entry fee of $15 and the winning team wins 50% of the pot.  Sign up at the office

Happy LGBTQ+ pride, LSS! Ever wonder what the plus stands for? It includes 2S for “Two Spirit” Elder Myra Laramee proposed this name as a translation of the Anishinaalee mowin words “niizh manidoowg”. Colonizers imposed their male – female binary on Indigenous peoples who had and have culturally specific roles for gender-divers or “two spirit” people. Don’t forget your Victoria Pride field trip form!
