This Week at LSS – June 9th

Uy’ skweyul LSS
As we get nearer to the end of the school year and my time at LSS I want to take time to continue to highlight groups that have made my time here so memorable as together we worked to make LSS a strong school. This week it is parents and caregivers.

I have the utmost gratitude for parents and caregivers. I reflect on one of my first parent meetings five years ago. I walked away from the meeting saying to myself and sharing with others that I was so impressed with the parent support. My approach with your kids has been to treat them as soon to be adults and to see if they can solve their own behaviour problems but if they could not then I went to parents. I could not have done this job without your support. Keep your reasonable expectations for your kids. Raising kids is hard. Find time such as dinner time to talk about important meaningful topics with your kids. You are an amazing group of people.

Hay ch ‘qa Parents and Caregivers.
