This month is Asian heritage month!
We recognize the contributions Asian Canadians have made in the development of this country. Their perseverance through multiple forms of oppression has been instrumental in strengthening our country’s labor movement and our communities. In spite of this, Asian communities continue to experience racism, as seen in the recent spike of anti-Asian hate crimes due to the false rhetoric surrounding COVID-19.
Remember to raise awareness and to take the time to educate yourself about Asian-Canadian heritage and social justice
